The ideal candidate will be a reliable,hard-working, team player who will participate in educational &research programs and help represent the Section in the communityand nationally. Candidates with interest in antimicrobialstewardship and clinical research are encouraged to apply.The Section consists of two board-certified pediatric infectiousdiseases physicians. Primary responsibilities include inpatientcoverage with call, outpatient clinics, trainee education, andclinical research. The Voelcker Clinical Research Center providessupport for faculty involved with research.Through partnership with CHRISTUS Health System and Baylor Collegeof Medicine, The Children’s Hospital is the first and onlyfreestanding, academic, not-for-profit children’s hospital in SanAntonio and serves as a focal point for pediatric servicesthroughout the community.As the nation’s seventh-largest city, San Antonio is known for itshistory and blend of cultures.
